Human Rights: “It’s a pretty simple proposition.”
“Every single American — gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender — every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of our society. It’s a pretty simple proposition.”
Terrorist Leaders Down
List here of senior terrorists killed during the Obama presidency from Jake Tapper, who says:
Remember when Rudy Giuliani warned that electing Barack Obama would mean that the U.S. played defense, not offense, against the terrorists?
If this is defense, what does offense look like?
The more dead terrorists, the better, in my opinion. The two Americans assassinated-in-war, in Yemen, went to war against their country and never worried about ‘due process’ when organizing and promoting death for innocent people. I find it extremely hard, nay impossible, to give a shit they are dead and treating them as stateless armed combatants, rather than American citizens, is okay with me. I have no doubt President Obama did the right thing and did it legally. However, I recognize there is a national discussion to be had, and Rachel Maddow has it here:

Another Terrorist Out Of This World
Yemen says al-Qaeda-linked cleric al-Awlaki killed
The government says al-Awlaki was targeted and killed 5 miles from the town of Khashef in the Province of al-Jawf. The town is located 87 miles east of the capital Sanaa.
The statement says the operation was launched on Friday around 9:55 a.m. It gave no other details.
Yemeni security and tribal officials said an airstrike thought to have been carried out by U.S. aircraft on Friday targeted a convoy of cars traveling in the eastern province of Marib but could not say whether al-Awlaki was in the convoy.
The 40-year-old al-Awlaki is believed to have inspired and even plotted or helped coordinate some of the recent attacks on the U.S., including the failed Christmas Day 2009 bombing of an airliner heading for Detroit, Michigan, and the also unsuccessful plot to send mail bombs on planes from Yemen to the United States in October.

Obama’s Holding Up Well In So-Called Class War
A new Pew Poll:
Obama Draws More Confidence than GOP Leaders on Deficit: Most Support Raising Taxes on High Incomes to Reduce Deficit
As the nation prepares for another round of deficit reduction debates, the public’s confidence in congressional leaders, particularly Republican leaders in Congress, has plummeted. Just 35% say they have a great deal or fair amount of confidence in Republican leaders in Congress to do the right thing when it comes to dealing with the federal budget deficit, down from 47% in May. Fully 62% say they have little or no confidence in the Republican leaders on this issue.
Public confidence in Barack Obama on the budget deficit, by comparison, has remained largely unchanged. The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted Sept. 22-25 among 1,000 adults finds that 52% express at least a fair amount of confidence in Obama to do the right thing when it comes to dealing with the deficit, virtually unchanged from 55% earlier in the year.
The drop in confidence in GOP congressional leaders is broad based, even occurring among Republicans themselves. The share of Republicans confident in their party’s leaders on this issue has fallen from 76% four months ago to 62% today, with comparable declines among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents who agree with the Tea Party and those who do not. …
Democrats offer a more positive assessment of their leaders’ handling of the deficit than Republicans do of theirs. Fully 84% of Democrats have at least a fair amount of confidence in Obama to do the right thing regarding the deficit, and 75% are confident in Democratic leaders in Congress. This compares with 62% of Republicans who are confident in how GOP congressional leaders will handle this issue.
Independents are equally skeptical of both parties in Congress (35% have at least a fair amount of confidence in Republican leaders, 34% express confidence in Democratic leaders). Nearly half of independents (47%) say they have a great deal or fair amount of confidence in Obama to do the right thing when it comes to dealing with the federal budget deficit.

Obama’s Lost Cool
BreitbartTV has this headline: OBAMA LOSES COOL AT BLACK CAUCUS DINNER; ‘STOP COMPLAINING’ AND MARCH
Like they even know what cool is. But watch the President address the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Phoenix Awards dinner and see if you think he lost it.
I know the dinner attendees were simply furious with him.

And that FLOTUS, Michelle. Why couldn’t she dress up nice for a change?

I crack myself up.

Issa Sought U.S. Clean Energy Aid in the Past
Republican Representative Darrell Issa, who said government subsidies to specific companies can encourage corruption, sought U.S. help in the past for clean- energy projects in his home state of California.
Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, wrote Energy Secretary Steven Chu to support an Energy Department loan for Aptera Motors Inc., a Carlsbad, California, electric-car maker, according to a letter received by the department Jan. 14, 2010.
“Awarding this opportunity to Aptera Motors will greatly assist a leading developer of electric vehicles in my district,” Issa wrote in letters obtained yesterday. …
Issa also signed a June 22, 2009, letter to Chu promoting battery maker Quallion LLC, based in Sylmar, California. An Energy Department clean-energy grant might create more than 2,300 jobs nationwide, according to the letter, which was signed by Issa and 16 members of California’s delegation. …
Issa’s committee will hold a hearing tomorrow titled, “How Obama’s Green-Energy Agenda is Killing Jobs.”
Not Class Warfare, It’s Math
I’d say it is class warfare, in addition to its being math. We’ve had class warfare for decades against the poor, working and middle classes. I’d call it evening up the score a bit.
