It’s official – Barack Obama is not leaving Washington DC for at least a few more years

Barack and Michelle recently purchased this 9 bedroom mansion (they were renting it before they decided to purchase it this month – May, 2017)

It’s official – Barack Obama will not be leaving Washington DC for at least a few more years. Obama and his family have now bought the stylish and cool looking mansion (@ $8.1 million) that they were originally just renting. They moved in back in January, as renters, after Barack left the White House.

Recently the home was officially sold to Homefront Holdings LLC, which is controlled by Barack and Michelle Obama.

Evidently the Obama family will continue to live in their new home, which is located in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington DC, for at least a few more years. Barack and Michelle have indicated that they want their youngest daughter Sasha (born: June 10, 2001 – age 15) to finish high school at Sidwell Friends School (a highly selective Quaker school in Washington DC).
